Apple users are smart, really smart
”Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
This quote comes from Leonardo da Vinci and pretty much sums up my feelings towards business, life, and technology.
With speculation of an iPhone-5 coming to the market soon, the debate of Android Vs iPhone is heating up again. The Android fans claim that those devices have greater capabilities including customization and power. iPhone devotees cite the simplicity and ease of use as their winning battle cry.
I switched to Mac about 8 years ago after using PC’s for nearly 2 decades. My primary reason for switching was that I just wanted to do my work versus trying to get the machine to work while forced to deal with bugs, viruses, worms and such. I understand that the Windows Operating System has made great strides over the years but I am comfortable with my Apple experience.
Here is the point of this post. More and more in business today, I see owners and managers who fear that one big unknown thing is killing their business, department or career instead of focusing on the hundreds of little “nuggets” that can cause a greater problem. While I am not suggesting that we worry ourselves to death over these “nuggets”, I am proposing that we deal with the issues that come up, no matter how big or small, before they snowball into a disaster.
