Big picture
Politicians, economists, television talking heads, as well as the majority of the public is talking about ever-rising gas, food and health care prices.
I get it. The current situation with all of these necessities is devastating to most families across the country and sadly, there seems to be no end to how high these costs will rise. I am however concerned with the lack of discussion of “big picture” issues.
All talk seems to have ceased about improving education in this country so that we can start to compete equally on a global basis. What happened to holding conversations about stemming the rising crime rate in the USA? Has the illegal immigration problem somehow and miraculously resolved itself? How come we have not gotten serious about wasteful and unnecessary government spending?
There are no easy answers ladies and gentlemen, but if we do not move on these and other worthy concerns now, how bright can our future possibly be?
