“After three months of waiting, the end of Microsoft Corp’s pursuit of Yahoo Inc ended in a rush.”The reality of this proposed deal was simple. For better or worse, Yahoo! is woefully behind Google. NO ONE I know gets a warm and fuzzy feeling when they think of, or talk about Microsoft. As smart as all of the principals involved in this deal are, they must have relied on ego alone when they contemplated this union. Where does Yahoo! go from here? Can they really continue to play second fiddle to Google?
